Note: Key plot points for the latest installment of this adventure lie ahead.
The Warrior Group Revealed
Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and introduced the initial group of characters who will branch out from the primary party to begin their independent quest, separate from the remaining groups.
The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
The Reason for Division
With 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.
Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before branching into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Questers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven story mode where diplomatic options are few and far between.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear out of place, but the developments of the third episode make it clear why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
For one thing, the party understands precisely where to head next after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.
The antagonist then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, north of the city, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Personal Motivations
Moreover, each member has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous location.
- The warrior and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their reputation as important members in the powerful family could help the group enter places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control the city for a range of causes, making staying in the city dangerous:
- Thimble and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
- The target is marked for death by the family.
This means them no alternative but to head to the northern region in quest for the traitor.
Future Episodes
From episode three’s follow-up content, we discover that the warrior group will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight participants to assemble the Explorers and Planners tables.
Audiences can anticipate learning which players will be in which group in the season’s last Overture episode, released on the upcoming Thursday.
