2K Recruits Apex Legends Producer to Boost Challenged Action Game Project Ethos
2K Games has welcomed Ben Brinkman from the creators of Apex Legends to lead the studio crew at their internal studio, which is currently working on the upcoming third-person action-packed title known as this innovative game.
Management Change Follows Poor Response
The new appointee assumes the role of studio head at the development studio following the exit of former leader the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was reportedly let go due to the game's lackluster early showing last fall.
On Wednesday, 2K president a key figure updated team members about this strategic move through an internal memo, which highlighted that early feedback sessions had indicated the requirement for a clearer game identity.
Ismailer expressed that the developers is now refining Project Ethos with a revised approach, aiming to better meet player expectations.
A Pattern of Key Recruitment
The news follows a comparable step taken by 2K Games in the summer, when they brought on Rod Fergusson from the Diablo team to assist with the beloved franchise studio Cloud Chamber.
